Difference Between Mug Warmer and Candle Warmer

Candle Warmer and Mug Warmer differ in their purpose. Although, the basic function is the same, i.e. heating, the purposes for heating are not similar at all. Apart from purpose, they also differ in terms of design.

Basic purpose

Candle warmer is used to fill a room with the sweet fragrance of a scented candle. Candle warmer achieves this by melting the wax of the scented candle placed inside it. Thus, the candle warmer unlocks the fragrance present in the wax of the scented candle without burning the wick and generating soot which results when the wax is burned. The heating element required to melt the candle can be at the bottom, sides or top of the candle warmer.

Mug warmer is the best thing to happen for people who like their coffee or tea hot and strong. Mug warmer eliminates the problem of the mug of tea or coffee going cold when you are distracted due to some work and leave it unattended. Mug warmer restores the temperature of the tea or coffee to the desired level whenever you want to drink it. A mug warmer has a heating coil inside it which heats up when the mug warmer is connected to a power source. The heating coil transfers the heat energy to the base of the mug warmer. This heat energy is, in turn, transferred to the mug placed on the base and to the liquid contained in it. The heat keeps the drink at a warm temperature. Mug warmers are designed to prevent the liquids from reaching the boiling point. Thus, optimal heat is generated which is enough to keep the drink at a desirable temperature.

Design

Candle warmers come in various designs. Some of them have been mentioned here.
